I'm taking my kitchen paperless (at least as far as non-bound recipes go) so welcome to my cookbook in a blog!

Super Yum-O Fabulous Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 whole large egg
1 large egg yolk

2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

Oven to 325 degrees, line cookie sheets w/parchment.  (Do not grease sheets!)

Sift together flour, baking soda, & salt.

In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the next group of ingredients until light and creamy.

Add in the sifted ingredients - beat on low until blended.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop 1/4 cup balls of dough onto cookie sheets - 3 inches apart (yields approximately 18 cookies)

Bake for 13-15 minutes - JUST until edges begin to golden

Transfer immediately to wire racks and store in closed container immediately after cooling for chewy cookies.

Tip - I refrigerated my dough for 1 hour after mixing. This keeps them from "flattening out"
