1 C rolled oats
1/2 C quinoa, rinsed
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C wheat bran
1/2 C dried cranberries (or other dried fruit)
1 tsp cinnamon
sweet almond topping (1/3 C brown sugar, 1/4 C chopped toasted almonds, 1/2 tsp cinnamon)
Put 4 C water in a saucepan and add oats, quinoa, and salt. Cover, bring to boil over med-high, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add wheat bran and cook another 8-10min, until liquid is about gone. Stir in fruit and cinnamon, remove from heat, and sit, covered, for 5-10 minutes.
Serve topped with almond mixture.
